Purpose & Explanation

The proposed amendment to Section 432.36 of the City of Hudson Codified Ordinances clarifies regulations regarding motor vehicles shortcutting across both public and private property. The ordinance is being updated to include City-owned property, to prevent damage and reduce safety hazards caused by unauthorized vehicle use.

The amendment reinforces the City's authority to regulate municipal property for public health, safety, and welfare. It prohibits drivers from entering public, private, or public-school property, solely to cross between streets or public ways without stopping for a legitimate purpose connected to that property.
