Purpose & Explanation
The Final design for the Ellsworth Meadows Golf Course Clubhouse Project has been completed. The project has also been approved by the Hudson Planning Commission and the Architectural & Historic Board of Review. In addition, the Park Board has reviewed the design and is in full support of moving the project to the next stages. The estimated project cost is attached for site location “A” as formally discussed with City Council. With Council approval, the staff seeks legislation authorizing the City Manager to publicly bid for and award a construction contract for the project.
Budget Amount- $2,000,000.00 (Construction)
Engineer’s Estimate- $1,897,816.94
Contingency Amount- $100,000.00 (Supplemental Appropriation Required)
Total Project cost with 10% Contingency - $2,087,598.63
Total- $2,100,000.00 (Budgeted amount including supplemental appropriation)

Staff recommends the City Council approve this legislation authorizing the City Manager to publicly bid and award a construction contract for the project to the lowest and best bidder not to exceed the budgeted amount including the contingency.
