Title

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS AND TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE 2020 STORM SEWER LINING IMPROVEMENTS WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER.

Brief Description:  This project involves the lining of storm sewers in various areas in Hudson.

Body

Legislative History

None.

Purpose & Explanation

The scope of this project involves the lining of City maintained storm sewers including approximately 880 feet of 18-inch diameter storm sewer and 331 feet of 24-inch diameter storm sewer.

The storm sewers being lined are a safety concern due to the numerous sink holes and require continuous on-going maintenance requirements.  The lining process will eliminate future sink holes caused by separated joints and will extend the life of the storm sewer.

The project will be partially funded with the balance of the City of Hudson Storm Sewer Assessment Fund for the Towbridge Subdivision.  This fee was originally collected by the County when this area of Hudson was part of the Township.   The funds have been held in escrow for the future use on improvements similar to this project and the current balance of the Assessment Fund is approximately $20,889.
