Purpose & Explanation

The Barlow Farm Park Tennis and Pickleball Courts Improvement Project includes a prefabricated concrete public restroom structure as part of the base construction plans. Staff is able to purchase the precast restroom unit in-house at a lessor cost than the project contractor. Purchase will be made utilizing the Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Program contract # 081721-CXT,.   Sourcewell is a Government cooperative purchasing program and CXT is registered as a participating vendor   <https://www.sourcewell-mn.gov/cooperative-purchasing/081721-cxt>  Due to cost increase and installation issues that would affect the warranty of the building the request for an additional $9,050.00 is needed. The original installation charge of the building will be deducted from the construction contract with Mr. Excavator.

Staff recommends amending a purchase contract with CXT Concrete Buildings for the purchase of one (1) prefabricated concrete bathroom structure utilizing the Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Program contract # 081721-CXT in the amount of $9,050.00.
