Executive Summary: This project consists of asphalt planning; full depth repairs; intermediate asphalt course; surface course; berm restoration and pavement striping along Hines Hill Road from the Corp. Line near Walters Road to Prospect Street.

Bids were received on May 10, 2013 @ 9:00am. Below is the Engineer's Estimate along with the respective bids.

The City Administration is requesting City Council approval to authorize the City Manager to award and enter into a contract with Ronyak Paving, Inc. of Burton, Ohio for the Hines Hill Road Resurfacing Project (PID 92671). The Engineering Staff is requesting a 10% contingency for any unforeseen issues that may arise during construction for a total contract amount of $382,941.02.
Total Project Cost = $382,941.02 ($348,128.20-Base + $34,812.82-Cont.)
City Cost = $76,588.20 (20%)
ODOT Cost = $306,352.82 (80%)
Timing Considerations
Upon authorization to proceed by the City Council, the administration will award and enter into a contract with Ronyak Paving, Inc. for the above.

Suggested Action
Staff recommends that City Council approve this resolution authorizing the City Manager to award and enter into a contract with Ronyak Paving, Inc. for the Hines Hill Road Resurfacing Project (PID 92671) and we are requesting an emergency clause be added to this legislation in order to maintain the public health, safety and welfare and in order to meet ODOT's construction deadline.
