Purpose & Explanation

The project will include the repair of the 5-foot by 7-foot corrugated metal culvert under Ravenna Street.  The culvert is located downstream of the EMS/fire station building as referenced on attached location map.  The project includes removal of failing invert, or bottom of culvert, and replacement with new, reinforced concrete invert.  In addition, the project will include repairs to the top of the pipe, which will require a small amount of tree removal and grass area restoration.  No pavement disturbance is anticipated.

Engineering staff has started the design of the project, which is now 75% complete.  Construction is scheduled to be completed in the Summer of 2021.

The estimated project cost of construction plus 10% contingency is $85,000.  The costs of this project is anticipated to be reimbursed by North East Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) Community Cost Share funds.
