Bids were received on April 3, 2014.  Below is the Engineer's Estimate along with the respective bids.

The City Administration is requesting City Council approval to authorize the City Manager to award and enter into a contract with The Shelly Company for the Ravenna Street Resurfacing Project.  This work will involve asphalt planning, full depth repairs, intermediate asphalt course, surface course, loop detectors and pavement striping along Ravenna Street from Stow Road to Stone Road.  The Engineering Staff is requesting a 10% contingency on the City's 20% portion only (ODOT does not allow for contingency on their portion) for any unforeseen issues that may arise during construction.  The contingency amount will be $6,547.13 for a total contract cost of $333,903.62.  ODOT will be invoiced directly for their portion.
Total Project Cost = $333,903.63 ($261,885.20 Split 80% ODOT; $72,018.43 20% Local City Share)
Timing Considerations
Upon authorization to proceed by the City Council, the Administration will award and enter into a contract with The Shelly Company for the above and coordinate with ODOT for this project.

Suggested Action
Staff recommends that City Council approve this Resolution authorizing the City Manager to award and enter into a contract with The Shelly Company and we are requesting an emergency clause be added to this legislation in order to maintain the public health and welfare and in order to maintain the project schedule with ODOT.
