Purpose & Explanation

This Resolution affirms the City Manager’s action of entering into an agreement to purchase the property and authorizes said acquisition of the subject property from Joann Stores for a public purpose at the purchase price and within the terms of the purchase and sale agreement (PSA).

Suggested Action

 

Staff recommends passage of this Resolution authorizing the City Manager to purchase said property for public purpose as per the PSA. The City Manager is authorized to execute all other documents necessary to close the transaction set forth and to pay the standard costs to a purchaser at the closing of the transaction. Staff further requests this resolution be passed as an emergency to meet transaction and closing timeframes.
