Purpose & Explanation

The scope of this project involves the re-establishing of the drainage ditch to alleviate flooding to the rear of the property at 5253 Towbridge Drive.

The existing drainage path has sedimented in from flows upstream of the property.  The work includes regrading of approximately 1,800 feet of ditch to re-establish positive drainage away from the property to Mud Brook.  See limits are shown on the attached exhibit.

The estimated cost of the project is $250,000, which includes a 10% contingency.  The project is being designed in house and is scheduled for construction in the summer of 2025 when the site is driest.  Staff will return to Council should the project costs exceed the project budget.
