Purpose & Explanation

Cellco Partnership, d/b/a Verizon Wireless has recently entered into an agreement to  collocate communications equipment on the AT&T cell tower located on Hines Hill Road adjacent to the N&S railroad tracks.  Verizon Wireless will also enter into an access easement agreement. AT&T has been under a lease agreement with the City for the current ground space footprint on which the tower is located for several years and current annual rent for that space is $24,150.00. Verizon Communications has requested to lease additional ground space from the City for the installation of its ground equipment.  The space requested is directly adjacent to AT&T’s ground enclosure and is a relatively small space.  A schematic drawing has been attached as a reference. The City Solicitor’s Office with Verizon Communications representatives have negotiated and developed the agreements for City Council approval.
