AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1, “PLAN SUBMISSIONS AND GENERAL NOTES,” AND SECTION 2, “WATER DISTRIBUTION,” OF CHAPTER 1419, “ENGINEERING STANDARDS FOR INFRASTRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION” AND REPEALING SECTION 3, “SANITARY COLLECTION” OF THE BUILDING AND HOUSING CODE.
Brief Description: Section 1 - Plan Submission and General Notes of the City of Hudson Engineering Standards for Infrastructure Construction and Section 2 - Water Distribution were last updated in 2002. Staff would like to update these sections to reflect various changes due to industry standards that have changed since the last updates. Section 3 - Sanitary Collection, will be repealed as the City no longer governs the construction and maintenance of the sanitary sewer system.

Purpose & Explanation
Staff would like to make updates to Sections 1 and 2 of the City of Hudson Engineering Standards for Infrastructure Construction to reflect various changes since their last update in 2002. A summary of the changes and full edited copy of the recommend changes are attached.
Section 3, Sanitary Collection, is being removed from the City of Hudson Engineering Standards as the City no longer owns the public sanitary sewer system within the City limits.

The City staff will utilize these revised sections once the sections are approved by City Council
