A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING A TECHNICAL CORRECTION FOR FY24 COMMUNITY PROJECT FUNDS ENCOMPASSING “MUNICIPAL WATER INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS” PROVIDING BROADER BENEFITS TO THE CITY’S WATER SYSTEM INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS: HUDSON DRIVE WATERLINE, WATERLINE AT CITY HALL, & NEW WELL AT THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT.
Brief Description: Congresswoman Sykes Office would like City Council to formally support the technical correction on FY24 Community Project Funds from the Nicholson Water Line project to the Hudson Drive Waterline, Waterline at City Hall, & a new well at the Water Treatment Plant.

Purpose & Explanation
The City of Hudson received FY24 OH-13 Community Project Funds (CPF) for the construction of the ‘Nicholson Drive Water Transmission Line’ project in the amount of $959,752.00 with a required match of $239,938.00. The anticipated project cost is $3,269,000.00 and residents were not in support of an assessment to complete this project. The City would like to make a technical correction and use the CPF funds on the following projects:
- Hudson Drive 12” Waterline - $650,000
- Waterline extension from the current line located just east of Hudson Gate Drive, continuing past the new Public Works Facility to 5523 Hudson Drive
- Well at the Water Treatment Plant - $350,000
- New 150’ well at 1270 E. Hines Hill Road
- Water Line at City Hall - $125,000
- Installation of a new service line connecting the existing main at Terex Road to the City Hall building
