Res No. 25-171 - A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a purchase agreement for a prefabricated public restroom structure.
Res No. 25-184 - Permission to Bid and Award Inclusive Playground
Purpose & Explanation
After staff received quoted pricing for a prefabricated restroom structure that included two rooms with provisions for adult changing tables, the quality control and engineering departments at the manufacturer recognized that the State of Ohio no longer approves of the quoted design. Upon placing the order, they flagged the type of changing tables specified in the design and noted that Ohio regulations require height-adjustable adult tables. Outfitting the restrooms with the compliant tables reduces the available floor space, thereby necessitating a larger structure. This design change has resulted in the need to procure a larger facility, increasing the overall project cost by $45,000.00.
This restroom facility will have running water and flushable toilets. This need is due to the park users requiring assistance for children and adults with special assistance requirements.
The purchase would be completed through the Sourcewell contract #052725. It is anticipated that the installation of restroom will occur in May of 2026.
