Purpose & Explanation

Staff is seeking funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency through an Assistance to Firefighters Grant to assist with funding the Hudson Fire Department’s and Hudson Emergency Medical Services’ migration to 800MHz communications.  The Assistance to Firefighter Grant’s primary goal is to provide funding to meet the emergency response needs of fire departments and emergency medical services.  Staff has also sought funding for P-25 portable radios through an Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Fire Marshall Fire Department Equipment Grant.
