File No. 20-0116:  This matter was discussed, and Council direction was sought at the workshop on August 25, 2020.

Resolution 20-104 authorized application to seek grant funding from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.

Purpose & Explanation

The City of Hudson was awarded $15,000 through a Diesel Mitigation Trust Fund Grant through the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency to fund one dual port Level 2 electric vehicle charging station to be installed in the lower level of the City-owned parking deck in the First & Main area.  The estimated cost of the equipment and installation is $30,000.  The City of Hudson was awarded $15,000 towards this project cost.  The match, approximately $15,000, would be met by Hudson Public Power.

Staff recommends that Council pass this Resolution affirming the City Manager’s Designee’s acceptance of a Diesel Mitigation Trust Fund Grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency to help fund the equipment and installation of a dual port level 2 electric vehicle charging station.
