Purpose & Explanation
The Public Properties budget in Public Works Department historically has contracted out this service to the best and lowest contractor bid. The City is exercising an option to renew the current contract for a two (2) year renewal period based on acceptable job performance and prices quoted.
The attached bid tabulation shows the submitted pricing for contract renewal with Vizmeg Landscape. This represents a 2.02% cost decrease from the current contract.
Vizmeg Landscape is a well-known landscape Stow-based company with many accounts in the City of Hudson and comes highly recommended. They have performed the current contract requirements at an above average level.
Timing Considerations
Staff would like to have a contract in place on January 1, 2016.

Staff recommends City Council approve the resolution to allow the City Manager to renew the current contract with Vizmeg Landscape, 778 McCauley Rd, Suite 100, Stow, OH 44224 for contract mowing and maintenance for public properties and greens for the contract term of two (2) years. This renewed contract would be $31,520 along with a 15% contingency amount for a total of $36,248 per year.
