Title
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AMEND THE EXISTING AGREEMENT WITH GRANICUS, INC. TO ADD EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES AND TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH HUDSON CITY SCHOOLS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Brief Description: The Hudson City School District (HCSD) would like to upgrade their existing Granicus encoder to HD. Since they use the City of Hudson Granicus account, this needs Council approval for the contract amendment. All associated costs for this upgrade will be passed back to the HCSD.
Body
Legislative History
Resolution No. 19-73; authorizing the City Manager to enter into an Agreement with Granicus, Inc. for professional services pertaining to agenda management and streaming media solutions for public meetings and related equipment and support and authorizing the current Master Services Agreement with Granicus; passed May 21, 2019.
Resolution No. 20-56; amending the Master Services Agreement with Granicus to add High Definition encoding and streaming; passed April 21, 2020.
Purpose & Explanation
The Hudson City School District (HCSD) has used Granicus since 2012. They are a sub-user on the City’s account and therefore need City approval to make any changes. They would like to update their encoding hardware to HD, which will involve a one-time equipment charge and ongoing software fees exclusive to the new equipment. Granicus will bill the City of Hudson for these changes, and the City of Hudson will bill the HCSD. The HCSD and City of Hudson will enter into a MOU for this project.
