Title
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS AND TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE W. STREETSBORO STREET (SR 303) SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT (PID 117269) WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Brief Description: This project involves pavement striping, signage improvements, and curb ramp work along SR 303 between Boston Mills Road and Atterbury Blvd.
Body
Legislative History
None.
Purpose & Explanation
This project's scope was modified in 2025. The original plan for SR 303 between Boston Mills Road and Atterbury Boulevard included curbed median islands, an island expansion at Atterbury Boulevard, new ADA ramps, and striping upgrades. The revised plan eliminates the curbed islands, now focusing only on pavement striping, signage improvements, and curb ramp work along this corridor (see attached Exhibit). ODOT has approved these changes and reduced project funding to match the new scope. The project’s estimated cost is now approximately $150,000 including contingency and construction management and inspection costs. The project funding is split with 90% by ODOT and 10% by the City.
The project is expected to be bid in July 2025, with construction occurring later in the year.
