Purpose & Explanation

At the July 23, 2024, Council meeting discussion, staff requested the purchase and/or lease to own arrangement for a replacement vac truck, street sweeper, and knuckle boom truck.

Per discussions with the Finance Department, it is our recommendation to purchase the street sweeper utilizing a lease to own agreement through Republic First National Corporation equipment financing.  

The price of the sweeper is to exceed $280,000, using the State Terms contract #STS016078.   The lease payments will commence in July of 2025.

Staff recommends the City Council pass this resolution authorizing the City Manager to purchase and finance a new street sweeper as detailed above.
