A draft resolution has been prepared to consider a setback to residentially zoned parcels for Boarding Kennels.  Boarding Kennels are currently permitted as conditional uses in D2.  Veterinary Facilities are currently permitted as conditional uses in D2, D5, D7, D7 Overlay, and D10.

Planning Commission completed a public hearing on July 14th, reviewed the request, and forwarded a recommendation to approved with the condition to remove Boarding Kennels and Veterinary Facilities as an allowed uses in District 2 and 10.

September Update:  Council further discussed refining the amendment to establish grooming as  a separate use category permitted as a conditional use in D5,D6,D7,D7OL, and D8 to align with Veterinary facilities district allowances.  Additionally a 300 ft setback to residentially zoned parcels was proposed for boarding kennels.
