Body

Legislative History

Resolution 23-24 - Authorized reimbursement to First Congregation Church of Hudson for storm water repairs.
Resolution 23-48 - Storm Water Easement Agreement with First Congregation Church of Hudson, 47 Aurora Street; 4/18/2023

Purpose & Explanation

The existing storm sewer system crosses seven (7) different parcels along N. Main Street and requires an easement to allow the City of Hudson to repair, maintain, or replace the system when needed.

The storm sewer system is estimated to be over 100 years old, and no storm sewer easement was ever established over the storm network in this area.

This stormwater system maintenance concern was brought to the attention of the Engineering Department after a portion of the storm sewer, on land owned by the First Congregational Church of Hudson, needed repair and no documentation was established to identify the responsible party for maintenance.

The storm system is the responsibility of the City of Hudson. Easements along the storm line from Baldwin Street to N. Main Street (SR 91) have been prepared for the following properties:

Western Reserve Academy, 108 College Street, Parcel No. 3201953 (1 parcel)

Jane Marshall, 36 Baldwin Street, Parcel Nos. 3204182 and 3204184 (2 parcels)

CSL Ohio Systems, LLC, 245 N. Main Street, Parcel Nos. 3202092 and 3202093 (2 parcels)

Richard and Louise Kazmier, 253 N. Main Street, Parcel No. 3201947 (1 parcel)

The easement with the First Congregational Church of Hudson was recorded in April 2023.
