Brief Description:  The City of Hudson currently has an active water tower lease agreement with Verizon Wireless for the attachment of communication antennas and associated equipment on the Milford Water Tower, located at 85 Milford Road, Hudson, Ohio.  Staff is asking to amend and renew the current lease agreement for a five (5) year term with up to three (3) separate consecutive additional periods of five (5) years.

Purpose & Explanation
The City of Hudson currently maintains an agreement with Verizon Wireless (formerly Airtouch Cellular) for the attachment of cellular communications equipment on the exterior Milford water tower tank located at 85 Milford Road, Hudson.  
The current lease agreement was due for amendments and renewal in November of 2019.  The amended lease has been agreed upon by both parties. The amended annual lease amount will be $28,000.00 (Former agreement - $21,900.60 annually). The lease agreement will be for a five (5) year term. At the end of each year the lease amount will increase by 2% over the amount of the preceding year.

Staff recommends City Council authorize the City  Manager to enter into a water tower lease agreement with Verizon Wireless per the agreement and specifications herein for  a term of five (5) years with three (3) an additional  five (5) year terms.
