Brief Description: This agreement between Summit County and the City permits the City to construct the proposed Valley View Trail project over a Summit County owned bridge over a tributary to Brandywine Creek. This agreement is for only the portion of the trail that goes over the Summit County owned bridge. The agreement outlines the terms of the future construction, inspection and maintenance of the County owned bridge and City owned trail.

Purpose & Explanation
The purpose of these agreements is to memorialize the responsibilities for the construction and future inspection and maintenance of the City-proposed 10’ Trail Along Valley View Road & Hunting Hollow project at the Summit County bridge over Brandywine Creek (see exhibit attached). This agreement is only for the portion of the trail that goes over the Summit County owned bridge. The agreement identifies that the City will be responsible for all trail related elements and that the County will continue to be responsible for all bridge related elements.
The City’s Valley View Trail (formerly described as the Veterans Trail Phase 2 project) scheduled to bid later this spring and be constructed this summer. The overall project includes a 10-foot wide trail along the south side of Valley View Road from SR 91 to Hunting Hollow Drive, and an on-road trail section along Hunting Hollow Drive from Valley View Road to W. Prospect Street. The project is 100% City funded.
