Executive Summary

The City of Hudson has received notification from Summit County regarding funds awarded through the Ohio Attorney General’s Moving Ohio Forward Demolition Grant Program and the Summit County Land Reutilization Corporation (CLRC).  Legislation to enter into the Moving Ohio Forward Demolition Program Sub Recipient Agreement between Summit County and the City of Hudson is necessary in order to accept funding.

Purpose & Explanation

The City received notification from Summit County that $45,000 in funds are available; including $15,000 Local Funds Committed by the City, $15,000 Moving Ohio Forward Local Funds Match, and $15,000 Summit CLRC Funds and Corresponding Moving Ohio Forward Match. (See attached letter dated August 2, 2012).

The City received a letter from Summit County, requesting execution of the Moving Ohio Forward Demolition Program Sub Recipient Agreement, as well as a copy of legislation authorizing the agreement.  (See attached letter dated August 29, 2012, and agreement).

Suggested Action

Staff recommends that City Council approve a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute the Moving Ohio Forward Demolition Program Sub Recipient Agreement.
