Title

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR A SOLID WASTE STORAGE AREA BEHIND THE MAIN STREET STORES IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA.

Brief Description:  This resolution would authorize the City Manager to enter into a license agreement with Kep’s Tavern LLC to permit the use a City-owned dumpster enclosure on City property to properly store their trash, solid waste, and recyclables.

Legislative History

None

Purpose & Explanation

Kep’s Tavern LLC is currently without an adequate dumpster encloser space for their operations. In addition, there is no available space for an enclosure on their property. As such, and as the City has constructed dumpster enclosers for the Main Street merchants from Park lane to Clinton Street, the PW Department Public Properties Division will  arrange for the construction of an additional dumpster enclosure space specifically for Kep’s Tavern LLC.  The City staff, working in conjunction with the business determined the best location to construct the enclosure. The location chosen is shown in Exhibit A of the attached license agreement.   The license agreement requires that the business  keep the Licensed Property in good order, including all upkeep and repairs, and to control litter, spills, asphalt/concrete stains, and odors.
