A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS AND ENTER INTO CONTRACTS FOR THE 2026 CAPITAL MAINTENANCE PROGRAMS OF THE CITY OF HUDSON.
Brief Description: This Resolution would authorize the advertisement, receipt of bids and award of contracts for the annual road programs that will comprise the 2026 Annual Capital Maintenance Program. The program includes Line Striping, Crack Sealing, Concrete Replacement/Repair, Catch Basin Repair Program, and Asphalt Resurfacing and Patching Program. Award of these projects will be based upon the approved 2026 capital budget.

Purpose & Explanation
The City Administration is requesting City Council approval to advertise, bid and award contracts for the 2026 annual capital maintenance road programs. The program includes:
1.) Line Striping
2.) Crack Sealing
3.) Concrete Replacement, which includes Sidewalk Replacement/Repair and Catch Basin Repair
4.) Asphalt Resurfacing
5.) Asphalt Road Patching and Misc. Parking Lots
The list of asphalt roads and concrete sidewalk repairs are currently being compiled. The Asphalt and Concrete programs are scheduled to be bid out in November 2025. The Crack Sealing and Line Striping are scheduled to be bid out in March/April 2026.
Award of these projects will be based upon the approved 2026 capital budget.

Staff recommends that City Council approve this Resolution authorizing the City Manager to advertise, receive bids and award contracts to the lowest and best bidder for each of the Annual Capital Maintenance Road Programs.
