Body
Legislative History
Legislation is required for periodic updates to the Codified Ordinances of the City of Hudson to incorporate various ordinances and resolutions of a general and permanent nature that have been passed by Council since the date of the last updating, as well as changes made to bring City law into conformity with State law.
Purpose & Explanation
The attached Ordinance was prepared by American Legal Publishing Corporation, as the firm engaged by the City, to compile and incorporate modifications and updates to the City's Codified Ordinances.
Section 1 of the Ordinance approves and incorporates revisions to City Ordinances since the last codification.  Section 2 approves and incorporates new material, including changes to the State traffic code and general offenses provisions that the City must incorporate in order to harmonize its Codified Ordinances with State law, and impose fines and penalties accordingly for violations.  Section 3 of the Ordinance removes those sections of the City's Codified Ordinances that are no longer effective in light of modifications.  Exhibit A provides a summary of all new and amended matters included with the current Code update.
While printed revisions are provided with this update, American Legal Publishing Corporation also provides quarterly interim updates online, available via a link on the City's website (or at www.amlegal.com/hudson_oh).
