Brief Description:   This project will involve paving the gravel parking lot areas on the east side of the HPP building located on Hudson Gate Drive to provide improved parking spaces for employee, visitor, and City vehicles.

Purpose & Explanation

The project will involve the design, and installation of base and final courses of asphalt to form a parking area. The project will be bid in late August of 2019, and construction will begin in the fall of 2019. The project will start at the east driveway entrance and extend to the southeast corner of the building. This item was included in the 2019 budget in the amount of $50,000. 


The City Administration is requesting City Council approval to authorize the City Manager to advertise and enter into a contract with the best and lowest bidder for the Paving at HPP’s Hudson Gate Facility for the budgeted amount $50,000.

Suggested Action

Staff recommends that City Council approve this Resolution authorizing the City Manager to advertise and enter into a contract with the best and lowest bidder for the Paving at HPP’s Hudson Gate Facility for a contract amount not to exceed $50,000. We are requesting emergency language due to timing considerations due to seasonal weather changes and work schedules.
