Brief Description:  This Resolution will authorize the sale of properties currently owned by the City in the Downtown Phase 2 area to Fairmount Properties.

Purpose & Explanation

Fairmont Properties, the owner and developer of First & Main in downtown Hudson, has proposed the purchase of adjacent downtown properties currently owned by the City of Hudson for the future development of Downtown Phase 2.  See attached Concept Plan.

This Resolution will authorize the sale of properties currently owned by the City in the Downtown Phase 2 area to Fairmount Properties.

 

Update for Council Meeting of November 9, 2021:

During the most recent work session, Council requested that staff make revisions to this legislation to show more clearly what the review and approval process requires and that the proposed development will be reviewed by City Council and Planning Commission as a condition precedent to closing on the sale to Fairmount Properties, LLC and that such is reflected in Resolution No. 21-116 (as revised 11-9-2021), which is attached.
