Purpose & Explanation

The Summit County Department of Sanitary Sewer Services (DSSS) is proposing a new sanitary pump station at the north end of Ogilby Drive in Colony Park.  The project includes the replacement of an existing pump station and providing a new pump station and building that houses the new equipment. The new pump station will correct the issue of the frequent use of a pumper tank truck to pump down the existing pump station wet well during heavy rain events.  The existing pump station is partially located within an easement on the City’s Colony Park property.

To keep the existing pump station in operation during construction, the new pump station will need constructed outside of the existing pump station’s easement, inside a new easement area on park property.  After construction, the new easement will be dedicated and a portion of the old easement vacated.   An exhibit showing the easement areas to be vacated and dedicated is attached.
