Body
Legislative History
Ordinance No. 21-125, adoption of the 2022 Budget, passed on November 16, 2021.
Purpose & Explanation
As discussed during the budget meetings last year, the Police Department would like to purchase three vehicles which are replacement cruisers for three (3) 2022 Ford Police Interceptor Utility vehicles. The three requested cruiser replacements are in line with Fleet Department’s recommendations for replacement.
The pricing for these replacement cruisers falls under Ohio State Contract RSI006716 (New, Model Year 2022 or Manufacturer’s Current Production Model - Law Enforcement Vehicles - effective through 10/31/2022) which was awarded to Montrose Ford Inc. to supply the state of Ohio and political subdivisions with 2022 Ford Police Interceptor Utility vehicles. The Ohio STS pricing was again lower than other cooperative purchasing programs (GSA, CUE) for these law enforcement specific vehicles.
The total cost for these three replacement vehicles is $117,616.38 (3 @$39,205.46). We have $118,050.00 budgeted for 2022.
