Brief Description: This request will enable Velocity Broadband to replace an existing Cogent and Windstream internet circuit that is set to end in late 2021.

Purpose & Explanation
This resolution will enable staff to replace the existing circuit provided by Windstream and Cogent Communications which is scheduled to end in late 2021. This new circuit will have a 2 Gig commit, be geographically diverse, and support higher bandwidth services should they ever be needed. The total value of this three-year contract is $82,800, at a monthly rate of $2,300. This rate is below state term vendor pricing as listed on Ohio DAS MSA0036. Based on our current monthly cost of $2,610 for the service from Windstream and Cogent, this new circuit will save Velocity Broadband $310 per month.
