Legislative History

Resolution 25-49 authorized advertising for bids and entering into a contract for construction of the FTTH pilot project.

Purpose & Explanation

This resolution allows staff to bid and award a contract for the construction of the areas designated as the first year of the FTTH project.  It is anticipated the pilot project will be completed by the end of August 2025 and staff would like permission to bid out the first year at this time to help eliminate any gaps and/or delays in the buildout.

The estimated cost of the first-year buildout (excluding the pilot) is as follows.  All estimates include a 10% contingency.

Area 1                     $817,200

Area 2                     $838,200

Area 3                     $312,480

Area 4                     $843,600
