Body

Legislative History

None.

Purpose & Explanation

This resolution will enable staff to bring forward already planned for equipment upgrades for the distribution network that provides services to Velocity Customers. Given the residential FttH effort, bringing these projects forward would simplify the network and make it easier to bring new customers online. The value of this project would have a not to exceed budget of $171,439.20 which includes $50,368.20 for perpetual licensing, three years of support, professional assistance for testing and turn-up as well as $121,071.00 of replacement equipment. Calix is the current vendor used by Velocity and which equipment at the customer premise is only designed to work with.
