Purpose & Explanation

This is a request to submit the following applications to AMATS for Federal Funding assistance for the following projects:

Resurfacing Grants:

1.)                     Boston Mills Road (West Corp Line to W. Streetsboro Road)

2.)                     Hines Hill Road (West Corp Line to Valley View Road)


Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) Grants:

1.)                     E. Barlow Road at Terex Road/Hudson Industrial Parkway Intersection Improvements

2.)                     Stow Road at Ravenna Street Traffic Signal Improvements

3.) SR 91 Roadway Reconstruction, Various Locations (South Corp Line to North Corp Line)

4.) W. Barlow Road at Terex Road Turn Lane Improvements

5.) Barlow Road at Young Road Intersection Improvements


Transportation Alternatives Set Aside (TASA) Grants (Trails):

1.) Boston Mills Road Trail (115 Executive Parkway to Lake Forest Drive)

2.) Norfolk Southern Rails to Trails (Barlow Road to Veterans Way)


See attached spreadsheet for more information on each project, estimated project costs, funding splits and funding caps.  Note that project estimates do not include property acquisitions which are unknown at this time.  

Applications are due to AMATS in October 2023 and the City would be informed if the project is funded in early 2024.  Project design and construction schedules vary.
