Title
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CHANGE ORDER TO THE CONTRACT WITH SIGNAL SERVICE COMPANY FOR MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF TRAFFIC SIGNALIZATION EQUIPMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Executive Summary: Due to circumstances beyond the City’s control, we have recently experienced excessive repairs to our street signalization system. Typically we expect to spend $25,000-$35,000 annually to maintain our system infrastructure, however due to a vehicular accident which occurred at the intersection of Rt. 303 and Stow Rd. which resulted in significant infrastructure damages, expenditures will exceed the maximum budgeted amount of $35,000. Staff seeks a contract change order in the amount of $25,000 for these emergency system repairs and replacements. The additional $25,000 has been reimbursed to the City through the responsible party’s insurance company.
