Brief Description: The City of Hudson is interested in exchanging approximately .14405 acres of parcel located at 5431 Hudson Dr., identified by the Summit County Auditor as Parcel #3001315 with the Owner of a parcel located at 5411 Hudson Dr., identified by the Summit County Auditor as Parcel 3001552. The land is currently owned by Rebecca Fischer and Jacob Fischer.

Purpose & Explanation
Proposed Real Estate Exchange Agreement:
The City of Hudson is interested in exchanging approximately .14405 acres of parcel located at 5431 Hudson Dr., identified by the Summit County Auditor as Parcel #3001315 with the Owners of a parcel located at 5411 Hudson Dr., identified by the Summit County Auditor as Parcel 3001552. The land is currently owned by Rebecca and Jacob Fischer.
The City and property owners have agreed to enter into an exchange agreement for .14405 acres property as shown on the attached exhibit, this exchange will bring the property owners of parcel #3001552 in compliance with City code.
When the City purchased parcel #3001315 it was discovered the above owner had built a garage that encroached on City property. The owner has agreed to exchange an equal portion of their property with the City to bring parcel #3001552 in compliance with City code.
This exchange will not impact the current layout of the City’s Public Works Building, which will be located on parcel #3001315.
By approving this agreement, the City of Hudson eliminates an encroachment on its property without affecting current plans for a Public Works Building.

The City recommends Council approve this request to allow the City Manager to enter into an agreement with the property owners for the exchange of approximately .14405 acres of the property located at Summit County Parcel #3001552, and declaring an emergency.
