Purpose & Explanation

Staff is seeking funding from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency through a Diesel Mitigation Trust Fund Grant to fund one dual port Level 2 electric vehicle charging station to be installed in the lower level of the City-owned parking deck in the First & Main area.  The estimated cost of the equipment and installation is $30,000.  The City of Hudson is eligible for up to $15,000 towards this project cost.  The match, approximately $15,000, would be met by Hudson Public Power.

Suggested Action

Staff recommends that Council pass this Resolution authorizing submittal of a grant application to the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency for a Diesel Mitigation Trust Fund Grant to help fund the equipment and installation of dual port level 2 electric vehicle charging station and declaring and emergency.
