This legislation is brought before City Council based on Staff and City Council's five-year financial plan and budget discussions held in November and December 2012.
Purpose & Explanation
This Ordinance authorizes an annual salary adjustment for the City's non-bargaining unit employees. The pay steps provided in the pay range structure chart attached to the Ordinance have each been adjusted by a factor of 1.015 over the 2012 pay range structure figures. The five-year financial plan and budget documents presented to City Council were based on this adjustment being factored in. Further, this tracks the adjustments that were negotiated and previously approved by City Council for calendar year 2013 in connection with compensation of City employees represented by the Ohio Patrolman's Benevolent Association, Utility Workers Local 588, and Teamsters Local 436.
