Legislative History

Chapter 1040 sets forth ordinances applicable to municipal water. 1207.11 also touches on public utilities and in the future will reference the applicable code section in Chapter 1040. The exemption granted by 1207.11 for individual lots existing prior to January 2000 with access to Hudson City Water lines located more than 400 feet from the lot will remain.

Council desires to establish a “right of first refusal” for city water to be required in any new development.
