Purpose & Explanation
Staff received $25,000 from the Laurel Lake Residents Association on 1/16/2019 to fund new airway equipment, vacuum splints, suction units, bariatric lifts and various pieces of medical equipment for the three advanced life support ambulances currently in use.
Staff received $25,000 from the Laurel Lake Residents Association on 12/9/2019 to outfit the fourth reserve ambulance with a variety of equipment and supplies to make it a fully stocked advanced life support ambulance as well.
Staff applied for a $37,217.36 Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation Safety Intervention Grant to fund the purchase of a power cot and loader for the reserve ambulance on 10/28/2019. A $12,405.79 match is required for that grant. Staff was notified on 12/17/2019 that due to a glitch in the OBWC software the City of Hudson appeared eligible for this funding. The City of Hudson is not eligible for funding until March 3, 2020. Application will be resubmitted then.
