Purpose & Explanation
In reviewing the current private solar generation interconnection policy, the City's power supply consultant firm Courtney & Associates has recommended a change in the current policy language as it relates to the metering arrangement for behind the meter solar generation customers. Specifically, the meter arrangement measuring both incoming power and outgoing power as currently utilized by HPP should be referred to as Net Billing not Net Metering. We have attached the recommended language amendments for reference.
