Legislative History
RES NO. 25-35 A Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement to accept donated funding from Hudson Community Foundation for lighting six pickleball courts on behalf of Hudson Parks.
Purpose & Explanation
The lighting equipment and installation costs will be paid for with funds raised by a resident group in conjunction with the Hudson Community Foundation. The Hudson Community Foundation will provide a check to the City in the amount of $154,000.00 ($140,000.00 estimated project costs + $14,000.00 10% contingency) to install the necessary electrical equipment, conduit, wiring, lighting poles and fixtures to light 6 pickleball courts. Once the City receives a check in this amount, a purchase order will be drafted, and contracts will be executed with the lighting provider. Upon the closing of this project, remaining unused funds will be returned to the Hudson Community Foundation.
An emergency clause has been added to this legislation in order to allow procurement and installation of this equipment for the 2026 season.
