Purpose & Explanation
To facilitate the construction of the Fire Department's proposed garage, the City is initiating a formal lot split and consolidation. This reconfiguration is essential to ensure the project remains in full compliance with the Land Development Code, specifically regarding mandatory setback requirements.
Currently, the properties occupied by the Police and Fire/EMS buildings are comprised of seven individual parcels. The proposed action will restructure these into two larger, more functional parcels as illustrated in the attached exhibit.
An emergency clause is being added in order to expedite the lot split and consolidation recording to allow for the future garage building's permitting and construction later this summer.
