Mental health affects everyone. While one in five U.S. adults experiences a mental health condition annually, the impact extends to the friends, family, coworkers, and others who support them.

This Proclamation recognizes “Mental Illness Awareness Week” from October 5 to 11, 2026.

Suggested Action

I encourage Hudson citizens to join in recognizing Mental Illness Awareness Week and World Mental Health Day and encourage all residents to take time to relax, recharge, connect with others, and care for their mental well-being-not only during this week of awareness, but throughout the year.
