The Hudson Kiwanis has offered a $8,942.14 grant to the Hudson Parks towards the installation of a water feature at the splash pad in Veterans Way Park.

Purpose & Explanation

The Hudson Kiwanis has offered a $8,942.14 grant towards the installation of a water feature at the splash pad at Veterans Way Park. When the splash pad was constructed, the Hudson Kiwanis donated $75,000.00. In the spring of 2025, they donated funds for the installation of a new shade sail. This donation shows their continued effort to improve upon and enhance the splash pad for all to enjoy. 

Timing Considerations

The water feature will be installed in the summer of 2025.

Suggested Action

Staff recommends that City Council authorize the City Manager to accept a $8,942.14 grant from the Hudson Kiwanis on behalf of the Hudson Parks for a shade sail at the splash pad at Veterans Way Park.
