Title
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE CITY’S FEDERAL FUNDS AND GRANT POLICIES.
Brief Description: The City received a recommendation in the audit report from the Ohio Auditor of State to formally establish and maintain policies for the handling of federal grants.
Body
Legislative History
None.
Purpose & Explanation
The purpose of this legislation is to formally adopt policies required under the federal government’s Uniform Guidance for the receipt and expenditure of federal grants. During the most recently completed audit (2024), the Auditor of State recommended that Council formally adopt these policies. The attached policies refer to the Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) as well as the Ohio Revised Code and City of Hudson Charter.
It is important to note the auditors did not report any deficiencies in our internal controls over how we manage our federal grants. The City has many checks and balances in place including segregation of duties, authorization/approval and reporting.
