Executive Summary: Mayor Currin will proclaim Sunday, September 14, 2014 as "Chauncey and Cleopatra Day" in Hudson, in recognition of Farm Fest and the Case family's move to Hudson 200 years ago. Board of Trustee Member Diane Herendeen will be in attendance to accept this Proclamation on behalf of Case-Barlow Farm, Inc.

Purpose & Explanation
Chauncey and Cleopatra Case moved to Hudson with their family in 1814 and later established their farm. Today, Case-Barlow Farm consists of the restored Case Farmhouse, Bank Barn, Carriage House, and miscellaneous outbuildings situated on 4.2 acres and surrounded by Barlow Farm Park. The Farm is listed on the Ohio Historical Inventory, has received recognition by the Hudson Historical Society, and is designated as an official Underground Railroad site by the Friends of Freedom Society.
