Purpose & Explanation
The City of Hudson will open bids for the SR 91 North Turn Lane Improvement Project this spring. The City of Hudson has agreed to include the installation of a new, 16-inch, Akron trunk water main along SR 91 between Herrick Park Drive and Middleton Road as part of the project design. The City of Akron has agreed to provide funding, via escrow, for 100% of the costs associated with the installation of trunk water main. The total estimated cost of the waterline with a six (6) percent contingency amount is $639,879.00. In addition, Akron will pay for construction administration/inspection costs for the trunk water main which is estimated in the amount of $70,000. The total amounts are subject to adjustment based on actual costs of the lowest and best bidder and incurred by the City of Hudson.
The City of Akron will supply payment, in advance and prior to any work on the waterline portion of the project.
