Res. No. 16-9: a Resolution designating Republic Services as the City’s preferred trash and recycling vendor and authorizing the City Manager to enter into a service contract with Republic Services; passed 1/19/2016.

Res. No. 19-18: a Resolution renewing the designation of Republic Services as the City’s preferred trash and recycling vendor and authorizing the City Manager to enter into a service contract with Republic Services; passed 2/19/2019.

Purpose & Explanation

In 2016 the City implemented a preferred hauler trash & recycling service program for residents  throughout the City.  The current Preferred Hauler agreement is with Republic Services.  The current term will expire on March 31st 2022 and will go to public bid again in late October / November of 2021.  Council wishes to discuss the program and potential options moving forward.
